What's Chocamine®?
Researchers have found that certain compounds in chocolate help the brain to release endorphins, chemicals that make us feel good. Clinical Study
An initial open-label pilot study with 40 volunteers that measured the impact of odor, flavor and the stimulation of other chemical senses suggested that Chocamine supports mental acuity and concentration.*
Significant improvements occurred in short-term memory and the ability to integrate the eyes and hands in performing tasks, known as “Visual-Motor Response Speed.” Positive trends in tests were assessed in reaction time and impulse control/response inhibition”. Q: Is your product non-GMO?
We are sensitive to the issue of GMOs in the food supply and the concern about the potential presence of GMOs in dietary supplements. We are confident that the safety of our products is not compromised by GMOs. Our customers can rest assured that, while a few dietary supplement ingredients are produced from genetically modified crops, CHEERI is certified non-GMO.
Q: Is this third-party tested?
Each of our ingredients is tested for identity, purity, and safety. If we put it on the label, you can be sure it is really inside the bottle.
Our products are manufactured in FDA-inspected Certified U.S. Good Manufacturing facilities. Plus, each lot of finished product is tested for purity and potency before getting our final Quality Assurance Approval.
Q: Does this have caffeine?
CHEERI™ contains small amounts of naturally occurring caffeine (in total around 5-10mg per serving) from Chocamine®, the Organic Alkalized Dark Chocolate Cocoa powder, and green tea. For reference, the average cup of coffee contains 100mg of caffeine.
The energizing ingredient in CHEERI, Chocamine®, comes from Theobromine, an energizing alkaloid from the cocoa bean that may enhance the positive effects on mood from chocolate. Theobromine and other cocoa-derived polyphenols may improve blood flow throughout the body and increase heart rate, but are not known to have a significant stimulant effect on the human central nervous system like caffeine.
Moreover, one scoop of CHEERI equals 25mg of Theobromine. This is a gentle dose that isn't expected to cause a stimulant effect or affect sleep. That said, 2-3 scoops of CHEERI before a workout or big day can help pump things up a bit more if an enhanced energizing effect is desired!
